Kevin started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice tradesman, quickly progressing through the ranks and spending over 10 years as a sub-contractor serving the residential market in London and the home counties. In 1997, Kevin formed Monaghan Homes Ltd, his previous business, and undertook several in-house residential developments as well as serving the residential market.

Kevin’s reputation as a bespoke builder driven by quality led to ever more contracts. This, coupled with his ability to build relationships with trust, respect and understanding, resulted in long-lasting associations with industry professionals, clients and suppliers.

Kevin’s wealth of experience and knowledge is vital to the way we work. He visits every site regularly, being heavily involved in the day-to-day coordination, planning and quality control of projects, and he collaborates closely with the project managers to achieve this.

Phil has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to establishing Monaghan Martin, he spent 23 years at one of London and the South-East's largest developers and contractors, Durkan. Phil started as a trainee surveyor, attaining an honours degree in Quantity Surveying, building his career to eventually attain the position of Chief Surveyor, which he held for six years.

He has a wealth of experience in all forms of construction, ranging from small developments to large complex schemes, and has managed numerous residential projects, both new-build and refurbishments. He also has extensive experience in delivering listed buildings and heritage schemes.

Phil brings his expertise to ensure the best value for our clients. He believes in clear, honest communication and his approach is always collaborative and pragmatic.

Joseph has an instrumental role in project delivery, working closely with on-site management and overseeing the procurement of subcontractor packages. He is essential to the day-to-day operations of our sites, ensuring smooth execution and high build quality.

With a meticulous and detail-oriented approach, Joseph bridges the gap between design teams, head office, and site operations, ensuring project ambitions are realised and programs are effectively managed.

Charlie brings a wealth of experience in the design-led property business to Monaghan Martin. From 2017 to 2023, he was Head of Editorial and Brand at The Modern House, where his leadership helped shape the brand’s identity, earning recognition as a ‘cultural touchstone’ (Elle Decoration) and praise for its distinctive editorial voice (The Guardian).

He now works on brand projects with leading names in architecture (P Joseph and Paul Archer), design (Béton Brut), and property (Aucoot and Flawk). With an extensive network across these industries built over many years, he joined the family business in late 2024 to focus on connecting Monaghan Martin’s experience and services to clients looking to realise thoughtfully designed and architecturally ambitious residential spaces.
